Speakers
The report was crafted by CSDR’s experts, who were informed by a 2-day workshop CSDR hosted in Feb 2024 with generous support from the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, New Delhi office. Twenty Indian experts – retired diplomats, bureaucrats, academics, analysts, and former defense and intelligence officials, participated in the workshop. The report seeks to examine and identify key trends and significant changes in India’s foreign policy praxis that have risen to prominence in the last decade and look likely to retain relevance. India’s relations with the Great Powers, regions like Europe, the Indo-Pacific, South Asia, and West Asia, and its approach to Economic Diplomacy, Defense posture, Tech Diplomacy, and the Global South are in the spotlight. “A Decade of Transitions: Trends in Indian Foreign Policy 2014-2024” offers a comprehensive analysis of the significant shifts, accelerations, and adaptations in Indian foreign policy over the past decade and aims to equip readers with a nuanced understanding of India’s foreign policy evolution from 2014 to 2024 and its trajectory for the coming decade.
