The Peacebuilding and Conflict Management Program is dedicated to building a strong network of peacebuilders in South Asia and beyond. Our program emphasizes the importance of Track II diplomacy, conflict sensitivity, and working with relevant stakeholders to foster trust and open communication. Given the volatility of the South Asian region, marked by evolving political and military dynamics, our program focuses on addressing long-term threats to regional stability. To keep our peace-building networks vibrant and relevant, we collaborate with the Indian government and several diplomatic missions in New Delhi.
Our guiding principle for conflict resolution, crisis management, and peace-building is to maintain realistic expectations, differentiate between what is possible and what is desirable, and strive towards the latter. We are committed to reducing entrenched positions and conflicting beliefs among participants in conflicts, promoting reconciliation and mediation with a deep understanding of conflict sensitivity. Our efforts actively support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 16, which aims to promote peace, justice, and strong institutions.
