The project involved mapping continuities and changes in Indian defense manufacturing and procurements. It ascertained the legal frameworks of India’s defense industry, including tax structures and incentives. It outlined opportunities and limitations presented by India’s contemporary defense needs and the possibility of establishing joint manufacturing plants with Brazil. The project report provided insights into India’s primary external suppliers of defense equipment and evident trends. It laid out concrete policy, networking, and marketing solutions for Brazilian firms looking to enter the Indian defense ecosystem—either as suppliers or partnering with Indian firms—for co-design, co-development, and co-production opportunities.
