Atul is a Non-Resident Fellow at CSDR and supports our work on Aerospace and Defense industry.
Atul Chandra is winner of multiple international aerospace and defence journalism awards, with well over a decade of experience reporting on the sector, both in India and abroad. He is currently Consultant Technology Editor with Singapore based Asian Defence Technology and has reported from defense exhibitions and airshows held in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, France and Egypt since 2015. He has also visited military installations in the USA, UK, Australia, Switzerland, India, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Atul has been covering the aerospace and defense sector from Bangalore for well over a decade across – air, land, maritime and space related matters in the military domain as also commercial aviation. This provides him with a unique understanding of the challenges faced by both sectors which are in the midst of rapid technological change. Atul has written for a wide range of highly reputed international aerospace and defense publications, including Flight International, Air Forces Monthly, Aerospace – the magazine of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Military Technology, Military Simulation & Training, etc, in addition to contributing to the newspaper Indian Express, in-house magazine of Tata Group, Tata Review and being featured on All India Radio. Atul is based in Bangalore, India.
