Ankit is a Research Assistant at CSDR, and provides research support for projects under Centre for Security and Defense. He regularly contributes to DIPTEL, CSDR’s weekly newsletter, and is engaged in organizing and reporting on Round Table Discussions.

Ankit is a researcher whose primary focus is on Emerging Technologies and their role in Security and International Relations. His MA dissertation concentrated on ‘The Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Global Security’. He has contributed to The Diplomat and other publications on subjects such as The Security Implications of Quantum Computing and ASAT weapons. At CSDR, Ankit works on areas such as counter-terrorism, national security policy, and foreign policy. He provides background research for different project proposals and papers on topics like the Indo-China Border Dispute, Terrorism and Radicalization in India, and India’s Defense Preparedness. Ankit has previously studied Computer Science and Engineering, with a specialization in Machine Learning, and has an MA in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. During his B.Tech programme, he completed various projects based on Artificial Intelligence Technology, including building a Convolutional Neural Network based Image Classification Model for Sign Language and a Grayscale Image Colorizer using Deep Learning.
