Dr. Tishya Khillare

Dr. Tishya Khillare is a Fellow at the Council for Strategic and Defense Research (CSDR), New Delhi. She leads CSDR’s work on Non-traditional Security issues in South Asia and the Indo Pacific, specifically on Climate Diplomacy, South-South and Triangular Cooperation, Feminist Foreign Policy, and Gender and Security.
Dr. Tishya Khillare is a Fellow at CSDR, where she leads the work on Non-traditional Security (NTS) issues in South Asia and the Indo Pacific regions. She is responsible for providing programmatic and research direction, as well as proposal development, on NTS issues such as Climate Diplomacy, Regional Cooperation, Feminist Foreign Policy, and Gender and Security. At CSDR, Dr. Khillare currently leads the ‘Synergising Values in the Indo Pacific initiative’, the ‘Indo Pak Climate Collective’, and the ‘New Regionalism in South Asia’ initiative. Previously, she has led the ‘Chao Track Dialogue on Economic Connectivity and Regional Prosperity’ (a Track II initiative between India and Pakistan), the South Asia Water Diplomacy Initiative, and curated CSDR’s podcast series, The Mansarovar Podcast, which hosts conversations with South Asian experts on various regional challenges. As an International Relations scholar, Dr. Khillare brings over 10 years of research experience in non-traditional security issues and extensive project management experience in these fields. In her work, Dr. Khillare enjoys developing unique projects that combine the advantages of sound research and multi-stakeholder engagements to develop pragmatic policy recommendations on regional NTS issues.
